Indexing, Abstracting, and Scholarly Discoverability

The Journal of Sustainability and Intelligent Business (JSIB) recognises the importance of discoverability, reliable citation practices, and broad dissemination in contemporary scholarly communication. The journal aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of its published research through appropriate metadata standards, persistent identifiers, and recognised scholarly discovery services.

  • Google Scholar: Machine-readable article metadata and accessible full-text content can support the discovery of JSIB publications and the identification of citations, subject to Google Scholar’s indexing policies and eligibility requirements.

  • PKP Index: The Public Knowledge Project’s indexing services support the discoverability and dissemination of scholarly publications managed through compatible publishing platforms. Inclusion depends on the relevant service’s criteria and indexing arrangements.

  • Crossref: Where JSIB’s publisher has an active Crossref membership and deposits the relevant article metadata, published articles can be assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs). These persistent identifiers facilitate reliable linking, referencing, and citation management.

  • ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources): ROAD provides information about open-access scholarly resources and supports their identification within the international scholarly communication ecosystem. Listing is subject to the directory’s eligibility and inclusion criteria.

  • WorldCat: WorldCat facilitates the discovery of bibliographic records through a global network of participating libraries and institutions. The discoverability of JSIB publications depends on the availability and inclusion of relevant catalogue records.

JSIB is committed to maintaining accurate bibliographic metadata and following applicable publishing standards to support the responsible dissemination and long-term accessibility of scholarly research.

Digital Archiving and Long-Term Preservation

The Journal of Sustainability and Intelligent Business (JSIB) recognises that preserving the scholarly record is essential to the continuity, reliability, and accessibility of scientific communication. The journal aims to support the long-term availability of its published content through appropriate digital preservation and archiving practices.

Digital preservation may involve maintaining secure copies of published articles, retaining associated bibliographic metadata, implementing appropriate backup procedures, and using recognised archiving services or preservation systems where available.

The journal’s preservation arrangements should be clearly identified and documented so that authors, readers, librarians, and research institutions can understand how published content is safeguarded against data loss, technical disruption, and changes in publishing infrastructure.

JSIB seeks to maintain persistent access to its published literature and to support the preservation of the scholarly record in accordance with its publishing capabilities, applicable standards, and the arrangements formally adopted by its publisher.
